Reports are document-style analytics outputs. Use them when the result should read like a narrative, memo, board note, executive summary, or structured analysis rather than an interactive dashboard.
Open Reports from Solutions → Reports.
Reports as a document browser
The main Reports tab is a browser for generated report outputs. From there you can:
- Open a report
- Review title and timestamps
- Delete reports you no longer need
Reports are best for outputs that should be read, shared, exported, or revisited.
Schedules and runs
Report schedules and runs are backed by the same job/task infrastructure used by Agent → Jobs.
The Reports page still exposes:
- Schedules: reusable report-related job definitions
- Runs: execution history for scheduled or triggered report work
For new arbitrary agent work, use Agent → Jobs directly. Use the Reports schedules view when the output is specifically a report workflow.
Create a useful report
You can ask the agent to draft a report from a conversation or from a relevant asset.
Example prompt:
Create a monthly sales performance report for the executive team. Use the revenue dataset and the pipeline dashboard. Include a short summary, major changes, risks, and recommended follow-up questions.
Good report prompts include:
- Audience
- Time period
- Source datasets or dashboards
- Desired sections
- Level of detail
- Any style conventions
When to use a dashboard instead
Use a dashboard when the user needs to filter, drill down, or monitor metrics repeatedly.
Use a report when the user needs a narrative explanation, written commentary, or a fixed snapshot of analysis.
